What Do YOU Need?
I’m growing weary of continually crying out to have my needs met, even though it’s not so much my needs that I’m looking to have filled — it’s more of my children’s needs.
And really, it is also the needs of those around me that I’m seeking to help fill, but I don’t think people realize they need what I have to offer.
Everybody seems to be getting their needs met elsewhere, or at least they think that’s what is happening. And for some, that is what is happening. But for many, I don’t think that’s the case.
Unmet Needs
I think people are lonely. And deep down they all know it.
I think people are lost. Either they don’t know it or they know it & they are trying to find their way and/or hoping to get found by someone.
I think people are frustrated. I think they are at their wits end when it comes to knowing how to handle their current situation either knowing what the future holds or what to do about any of it.
I think people are just hanging on. Hanging on to what they’ve always known, hoping circumstances will miraculously change for the better.
I think people are distracted. They are either intentionally avoiding the reality that is standing right in front of them or they’re simply going about their daily lives, carrying on business as usual.
And I think people are ignoring what they really need.
What We All Really Need
When I was a teenager, there was a song that came out by Steve Green, called People Need the Lord. It talks about the need people have for Jesus and calls on Christians to share the words of life (presumably about Jesus) with them.
I see people are in need, but it’s not “the Lord” I think they are in need of, it’s one another. And, it’s the acknowledgement & understanding of who they themselves are, what they have at their ready, and what they were designed to be & do with it.
This is what people need.
We don’t need to simply know that somebody out there loves us. (Although, we do need to know that.)
We need to actually be loved by those around us, and have it physically demonstrated by communicating, helping and supporting one another.
(And for those who might think that I’m speaking against the Jesus of the Bible, I’m not. I’m pointing out our need to be doing that which Jesus taught.)
We need one another to live.
We need a LOCAL community of people able & willing to learn & work together to live life together.
But right now, with the world being as it is, where people can instantly communicate with people from all over the world, having the potential to broadcast messages far & wide and taking in information from every nook & cranny of society, able to travel here, there & everywhere (& doing so), and then paying money to get most of what we need in life, we are all suffering, severely.
The Natural Order of society has been smashed to bits.
While there may be families & clusters of households still living geographically close to one another, their members are typically worlds apart in their thinking & understanding.
And despite being able to find mental & emotional connections with other human beings many miles away, we often remain physically distant from each other, unable to lend or gain the physical help that we require to live.
We need to come together in the real world.
Yes, we have all been duped into putting our trust in the System & plugging into it, counting on Uncle Sam and the US Dollar to take care of everything for us.
But Uncle Sam is a traitor. He doesn’t care about any of us. He’s in bed with the banksters that are destroying the US Dollar and preparing to install a new system of total control.
So, while everyone continues to play the game of Life, trading their finite hours and/or energy for dollars, the Powers-That-Shouldn’t-Be are devaluing the dollars needed to play that game and doing so at an ever-increasing rate, while not only diminishing our ways of obtaining those dollars, but ultimately also causing us to surrender all of what we currently hold.
When are people going to say, “Enough is enough!”?
When are they going to stop leaning on the System so heavily & invest more of their attention, time & energy into turning towards one another and doing that which is needful to live outside of it?
I hope the answer to “when?” is not “after it all comes crashing down”. Because, if anyone thinks it’s hard now, just wait and see when the credit & debit cards stop working. We ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
However, if you’re one of the few who are saying, “enough is enough” already, and you are willing to do what it takes to get back to a more natural way of life (that works!), then please, let’s talk.
