Soylent Green in 2022

Served at your local fast-food restaurant and major grocery retailer. Really. I will not buy at Wally World but do buy at Aldi. I do hope that isn’t a mistake. I would not trust a single national chain fast food restaurant that much is certain.

After this January I will never need to buy packaged beef again. I’ll be growing and packaging my own into the foreseeable future.

As for poultry, I provide most of my own but do buy some frozen chicken products for the sake of convenience. I buy Aldi chicken strips. I also hope that isn’t a mistake. I buy turkey bacon and turkey deli meat both in the uncured variety.

As for pork, I haven’t touched that in over a decade much less eaten it. I also buy Hebrew National hot dogs from time to time hoping that Kosher actually means something. Ideally, I would never buy a single meat product from the system but that is a transition we are in the midst of. Living on a low carb diet is certainly challenging if I want more than farm eggs every day.

As for vegetarian that just doesn’t do it for me. I do eat a lot of greens and veggies but to live on them? Perhaps that will work for some.

At any rate, I do suggest moving towards knowing exactly where your protein comes from. There is no telling how many ways they are managing to defile our flesh with corporate food products. The facts of it would probably be quite disturbing for those that hold certain standards.
