The Lively-Baldoni Legal Drama
I’ve been following the legal drama currently taking place between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni for the past three months. And a few weeks ago, I started a new Substack publication called Celebrity Justice to lay out the various court filings as they unfold. Since then, I’ve been debating whether or not to blog about it, too, giving my personal commentary.
At first, I just wanted to present the facts to whomever might be interested, but now, this case keeps getting more complex and I don’t have anyone in real life to talk to about this matter…and I want to talk about it.
There are several YouTube channels that I’ve been following which are covering this case; however, I have way too many comments that I’d like to make regarding this case and personal responses I’d like to make regarding their content. But I’m hesitant to voice my thoughts & opinions on their channels because I know I can’t keep my comments concise — and I don’t want to dwell too long on social media.
While I could share my commentary on the Celebrity Justice Substack I just started, I’d rather reserve that publication for just reporting the facts. So that leaves me with this blog as my only reasonable outlet. Therefore, I’ve created a Celebrity Justice blog category specifically to discuss legal cases such as these.
If you would like to receive email updates whenever I post new facts (such as filed court documents) pertaining to cases like these, then please subscribe to my Substack. And/or if you would like to read my personal commentary on these matters, then please bookmark this blog and check back regularly.
Here’s a list of the different YouTube channels I have tuned into (some more than others):
- The Court of Random Opinion – @LethalLauren904 generally goes “live” to read aloud the legal documents on these two cases as soon as they hit the docket. [Warning: She cusses a lot, but I like her personality.]
- Ask 2 Lawyers – Stewart Albertson and Keith Davidson are my go-to lawyer friends who do a wonderful job of breaking down and explaining the legal aspects of these cases and the documents filed in them. I’ve really enjoyed watching their takes on all of this.
- Lawyer Lee and Kassidy O’Connell are a few other lawyers I like to hear from as well concerning these cases.
- Flaawsome Talk – Kjersti Flaa is a journalist and has worked in Hollywood as an entertainment reporter. She seems so sweet, and I really appreciate her attitude and reporting on various celebrities and behind-the-scenes perspective of both Hollywood and journalism.
- Popcorned Planet – Andy Signore is responsible for turning me onto pop culture justice. I appreciate his perspective and the various interviews he does with a variety of relevant figures & different lawyers close to the celebrity industry.
- Daily Dose of Dana – Dana Bowling used to work as a television casting director in L.A. and has a lot of behind-the-scenes insight and assorted connections within the acting industry. I find her entertaining as well as thoughtful. (While she covers other pop culture material, I only tune into her coverage of this case.)
Other channels I’ve checked out in relation to this legal drama, but don’t follow as much are: Without a Crystal Ball, Zack Peter, Dave Neal, Colonel Kurtz, Melanie OFF Script, and ELSRICH TV.
Personally, I’m not interested in the political discussions or celebrity gossip, so whenever anyone goes there, I generally turn them off. But, after listening to each of the above content creators, I’ve come to like each one of them for various reasons, and I appreciate hearing their personal takes on the matters relevant to this case.
Are you following this case? Please tell me about it in the comments below. 🙂
